New Magical Girl outfit for Hyur

Surprise! I race-changed to Midlander. Honestly, there's a moderate chance I'll change back once Fantasia goes up for sale, but this was my last one for now. Anyway, I made a Hyur-friendly version of my signature look.

Gear list:
Lominsan Soldier's Boots
Lominsan Soldier's Gloves
Hempen Camise
Hyuran Skirt
Hempen Hat

Valia happened to photo-bomb me. He's doing Lalafell stuff.

Egg Guard

The Easter event started today. Yay! I thought we'd start it off with an outfit using one of the new helmets. If you happen to be a wealthy merchant or nobleman, and you happen to be looking for a uniform for your personal guards that just screams "I have money!", then look no further!

Gear list:
Pristine Egg Cap
Hempen Tabard
Cobalt Vambraces
Storm Sergeant's Breeches (any red breeches will work)
Tortoiseshell Scale Greaves

The dyes used in this outfit were Snow White and Dalamud Red.

Cute Little Merchant

Look at this little bastard! How adorable is this? Still trying to find a paladin or warrior I can get tank sets from, but I finally have my lalafell model! A great victory for all mankind. So here's the gear list:

Woolen Beret
Woolen Gown
Cotton Dress Gloves
Cotton Dress Shoes
Woolen Sarouel

Landshnekt

You might like this one if you're big into medieval history (or a Total War fan, but those tend to go hand-in-hand). Sadly I haven't stored a lot of DoW gear away, but luckily I stashed this outfit away! It's supposed to be based on the clothing worn by the Landshnekt mercenaries during the 15th and 16th centuries. Other than generally being some of the meanest, hardest bastards around, the Landshnekt were also known for their style of clothing where they would cut slits in the top layer of their garments, and pull through the layer underneath. While I've dyed my gear Sky Blue here, the Landshnekt would have traditionally worn bright reds and yellows, which would have made for a very outlandish display.

Well enough of my nerdiness, here's the gear list:
Mercenary's Acton (any of the lower-level actons will also work, they basically look the same)
Hempen Gaskins
Toadskin Workboots
Woolen Beret
Iron Guisarme

For the gloves, pretty much any chain/plate glove will work because you don't see most of it. I used Darklight Gauntlets because I had them sitting around. I also recommend playing around with the helmet some. Salets, Celatas, and Elmos all go well with the outfit and are more or less still historically accurate.

Lominsan Dragoon

Time for something in the Disciple of War department. Specifically, Dragoons (although anyone can use this with a different weapon). You'll notice that I've used the Hempen Camise and Miqo'te Loincloth yet again. I'm still pulling from old screenshots while I wait for the servers to come back up, so I won't claim there's going to be a lot of variety here. On top of that, I'm a White Mage who rather dislikes robes, so my options are a bit limited... Anyway, here's what you'll need:

Lominsan Officer's Gloves
Lominsan Officer's Boots
Hempen Camise
Miqo'te Loincloth
Storm Lieutenant's Trident

Alternatively, if you want a bit of metal on you, you can replace the gloves and boots with Darklight Gauntlets and Darklight Sollerets

This outfit actually had, I think, a pretty solid concept behind it. The Maelstrom uniform is pretty cumbersome, and I feel like Lominsan sailors probably don't wear the full thing while at sea. So I've still got my official Maelstrom boots and gloves here, but I've replaced the coat with more casual and practical clothes. With this outfit, I can get through my deployment in style and comfort! If you do go with the Darklight alternatives, remember that there's always the risk of falling overboard, and plate armor will make it near-impossible to swim.

More skimpy nonsense

Okay, so this isn't one of my better outfits. I was experimenting around, trying to make an outfit based on Breath of Fire 2's water shaman. However, the game currently lacks the clothing I need for that, so I did this instead. Still, the game is under maintenance for a few more hours, and since I can only work with screenshots I already have, why not? Maybe somebody will fancy some part of this. What you'll need:

Silver Circlet (Aquamarine)
Hempen Camise (dyed Royal Blue)
Blue Summer Tanga (Seasonal Event Item)
Boarskin Ringbands of Tides
Raptorskin Thighboots (dyed Royal Blue)

Skimpy Witch Costume

This is a really simple outfit to make (if you're a Miqo'te female), but right now it's my go-to look. If you're like me and want your character to get noticed, this is a great one because a) It's shamelessly skimpy, b) has great contrast (assuming you've got light skin; dark kitties might get different results) and c) has eye-catching colors without being overly bright or loud. What you'll need:

Hempen Hat (dyed Soot Black)
Black Summer Halter (60 day subscription reward)

I actually came up with this one back during Halloween of 2013, because I didn't want to be a ghost like everyone else ^_^
